Once Upon A Tiger is an illustrated eBook, a poetry collection for children that you can buy in the Kindle, Nook, or iTunes store and download on your Kindle, iPad, Nook, phone, or computer.  It contains poems and notes about endangered animals by Janet Wong and illustrations by Sladjana Vasic.

Our goal is to get you thinking about endangered animals, and coming up with poems of your own that highlight the most-special qualities of our world’s fascinating creatures. If you spend some time wondering about your favorite animals (imagining silly pourquoi-poems about how they came to be--how the tiger got her stripes, or why the Sumatran rhinoceros is such a solitary creature), if you think and wonder about their beginnings, hopefully the end for these animals will be pushed away.

You’ll find some resources in our Animal Facts section to help make it easy to learn about endangered animals. And once in a while we’ll publish poems by our readers; just click the link to Write!, and you’ll find directions for submitting your work.
